‘A Collierville Wedding’

Heather Duncan and Jonathan Smeltser were married November 4, 2017 at the Collierville United Methodist Church, Poplar Sanctuary. Rev. Kristofer Roof from Peace Tree UMC officiated. The bride is the daughter of John and Melanie Duncan of Collierville, and the bridegroom is the son of Jeannie and Eddie Thompson.

“Having a Collierville wedding was absolutely perfect mainly because of the convenience of having everything so close in proximity,” says Heather. “Collierville is comfortable, quaint, and charming and that really shined through in all of the venues and vendors we chose.”

The couple remembers the big day as emotional, but full of ‘all the best emotions’.

“Our wedding day was blissful. I know that sounds cliché, but it truly was,” says Heather. “I was in my hometown, marrying my best friend, surrounded by all our favorite people in this world. We wish we could relive the day over and over again.”

Following the reception at Windyke Country Club, the couple spent their first night at The Stratton House before leaving for Riviera Maya, Mexico.
