It Starts with a Square

Collierville Bridal Show On The Square

BY Regan Hewitt

The ninth annual Collierville Bridal Show is coming to Collierville’s Historic Town Square this Sunday, April 25 from 1 to 4 pm. The show gives soon-to-be brides a chance to see what vendors have to offer, which will help with their wedding planning. Weddings, as well as all big events, have changed drastically over the past year, so this is the perfect chance for brides to see firsthand how they can still make their big day special and safe.

Since the event is taking place outside on the Collierville Town Square, The Quonset and Simply Done Catering, vendors will be able to spread out, which means there is no maximum capacity for this event. This is a free event, for anyone who would like to come.

Brides and guests can register the day of the event outside of Simply Done Catering & Events (111 Walnut Street) and they are encouraged to join the Collierville Bridal Show Facebook group for up-to-date information. There is also more information about which vendors will be in attendance and a pre-registration form for guests on their website www.colliervillebridalshow.com. Registration will put guests in a raffle for a chance to win prizes, such as a $500 honeymoon gift certificate from Travel Leaders of Memphis.

This show is a way for brides to navigate through the daunting and overwhelming task of wedding planning in a fun, relaxing way. Plus with the show being on the square, it makes for a beautiful Sunday well-spent. Karen Shelton, owner of Simply Done Catering and Events, says this bridal show is more of an experience than just another bridal show. “The Collierville Square was named one of the most romantic town squares in the country and our show highlights that,” said Shelton. “It makes perfect sense that it would also be the ideal place for couples to come to help plan their perfect day.”

With dozens of vendors, horse-drawn carriages to take guests from location to location and refreshments, this event makes for the perfect wedding-planning Sunday.
