Germantown Baptist Church

Corporate worship will return on Sunday morning, May 17, at 10:30 AM. Sunday PM worship, Wednesday evening gatherings, Sunday School, Weekday Bible Studies and other GBC activities will resume in subsequent phases, which will be communicated in the near future.

Although we are returning to Sunday morning corporate worship at our regular time in our regular space, there will be several modifications made and specific guidelines set forth that we will ask all those who attend to follow. Here is what to expect as we return to only corporate worship on the morning of May 17:

  • Outside doors will open at 9:30 AM.
  • Unlocked doors will be propped open for a hands-free entrance.
  • Please proceed directly to a pew upon arrival.
  • There will be no assistance from golf carts in the parking lot.
  • There will be no coffee/donuts in the lobby prior to worship.
  • Restrooms will be open but water fountains will be out of service.
  • There will be hand sanitizing stations available.
  • There will be no Worship Care or KidsWorship offered.
  • There will be no choir or orchestra.
  • Offerings can be placed in the receptacles at each entrance to the sanctuary or you can give online or by mail.
  • No pens or paper will be available for use in the pews.
  • Dismissal will be in a guided manner.

Below are social distancing guidelines that all are asked to follow while in the building during Phase 1:

  • If you are ill, running a fever, or showing symptoms of illness, please remain at home and join us for worship online.
  • In accordance with CDC guidelines, all persons over the age of 65 and those with underlying health issues are encouraged to remain at home and join us for worship online.
  • You are encouraged to wear a face mask or face covering while in the building and maintain a social distance of 6 feet between yourself and others outside your family unit.
  • Only every other pew will be available for seating so please be flexible if your “normal spot” is not available. Both the floor and balcony will be open for socially distanced seating.
  • Sit as a family unit in the worship center and maintain a distance of at least 6 feet between your family unit and another on each pew.
  • Please bring your own pen/paper, mobile device, or tablet for taking notes.
