It Starts with a Square

Don’t Miss Train Heritage Day!

BY Regan Hewitt

On Saturday, August 7th, the Town of Collierville will once again host Train Heritage Day on the Collierville Town Square! This will be their eighth time putting on this annual event. This is a free & family-friendly event.

From 10am-4pm, you can come out to see model railroad displays, tour the trains sitting alongside the square and special exhibits at the Morton Museum of Collierville History. There will also be free Mempops (while supplies last) and two special guided tours of the Frisco 1351! From 11am-2pm, there will also be music on the square, courtesy of the Wayne Jerrolds Band.

Additionally,  there will be free Train Heritage Day goodies bags and conductor hats (while supplies last) for the kids at the Morton Museum. There will also be train photo opportunities throughout the festivities!

Come out and enjoy a day on the Square – tour the trains, stop by the shops and eat a delicious meal at one of the Square’s many restaurants. See the full schedule of events below & visit the event page here to learn more.
