Art Contest Celebrates Collierville’s 150th

BY Regan Hewitt

Inspired by the amazing Collierville 150 painting that was revealed in February, the Collierville Burch Library is celebrating Collierville’s 150th Anniversary with an art contest!

Right now, the library is looking for local artist submissions to include in the show and contest. You can submit a painting or photograph that “shines a light” on Collierville – either past or present – and its people. Whatever that means to you is totally open to interpretation!

You must be 18 years of age or older to enter the contest, and your submission must be framed and wired in order to hang in the library lobby’s art gallery. When submitting, include a description card along with your entry, with your name, title of the piece and your contact information. Entries are due March 31st, so get to work!

For more information, contact Collierville Library’s Reference Associate Linda Brown at 901-457-2601.
