Main Street Collierville Video Synopsis

Laura Wiseman is the new Executive Director of Main Street Collierville, and she came into the Tour Collierville studios to sit down with Anna Bell and talk about her journey and the mission of Main Street Collierville.

Laura and her husband moved to Collierville over six years ago, and they instantly fell in love with the town and its charms.  One of the first things she found was that Main Street was a great organization that helped her get to know people and involved in the community.  Over the years, she became more involved, earning a place on the board two years ago.  Now, as of February 1, 2019, she has risen to the rank of Executive Director of Main Street Collierville.

Main Street Collierville is a cornerstone of the Town, and they work hard to put on special events and drive the economic success of businesses and individuals who live here.  Every Thursday during the summer months—with the exception of July 4—they put on live concerts on the Square.  They also have benefits to their individual and business members in the form of invitations to quarterly mixers, mentions on the Main Street Collierville website, and membership in the Main Street Business Alliance.

One of their biggest initiatives is the Third Thursday program.  Every third Thursday of the month, all of the businesses on the Square stay open until 8 p.m. and feature specials and sales during their extra hours.  If you’re a working professional who doesn’t have the time during the day to make it to shop on the Square, these events are an excellent time to see what the shops on the Square have to offer.  There are photo ops, prizes, raffles, and fun for the whole family.  The next Third Thursday is March 21, so make sure you come on out!
