It Starts with a Square

Letter from the Editors

“Springtime is the land awakening. The March winds are the morning yawn.”  – Lewis Grizzard

It’s March already!? Although it seems like 2018 just began, if you’re like me, it’s time for a break. Yep – we received our drive-thru Starbucks to aid us through the cold, wet mornings and now we’re eyeing spring break. This time of year, the air is beginning to heat up and we start to feel the confidence of a rising sun. We made it through the winter; now with the Spring winds at our backs, anything is possible.

Producing a magazine always has our team looking two months ahead. In January, our minds are filled with thoughts about March and April. By March, our sights are set on Summer. Whether it’s the flowers beginning to take bloom or the Spring winds pushing our cars around on 385, we can’t help but take notice of the new season’s arrival.

To celebrate the change of weather, we’ve packed this issue with new beginnings and Spring adventures – weddings, summer camps, lake getaways and, of course, Easter. In typical Tour Collierville fashion, we’ve hidden an egg. If you find the out-of-place egg in the magazine, join the fun by snapping a picture and sending Tour Collierville a message on Facebook. (Hint: someone who does is going to win a prize).

We say to heck with Punxsutawney Phil, and his shadow! Grab Spring by its roots and allow this year to blossom into the best one yet. The birds are chirping, the sun is rising a little earlier, and promise is all around us.
