Carriage Crossing Fido Fest

BY Anna Bell

On Saturday, May 18th, The Shops at Carriage Crossing hosted its first annual Fido Fest. Carriage Crossing partnered with local friends and retailers to create an afternoon celebrating four-legged friends and benefiting Collierville Animal Services with dog adoptions on site.

Fido Fest included 16 vendors and food trucks: Mercedes-Benz of Collierville, Mili’s Flower Truck, Pilates of Collierville, Club Pilates, AT&T, Three Dog Bakery, Hollywood Feed, Dogtopia, Collierville Canine Club, Natalie Cooper Art, Caroline Hayes Scentsy Booth, Fido Fresh Treats, MemPops, Chow Dog & Things Food Truck, DineOneOne Food Truck and STIX Food Truck. The event also featured live music by local Americana band, MT. & VALLEY, an art zone, two splash zones, face painting, Fido-themed balloon art and three contests (Dog & Owner Look-A-Like, Cutest Furry Friend and Best Trick). Prizes were provided by local Pet Boutique, Three Dog Bakery.

An estimated 175 humans (and 100 Fidos) attended Fido Fest, and two of Collierville Animal Services’ furry friends found their forever homes.
